How we price an unfamiliar brand
Most carts we can't immediately place are built by a handful of large manufacturers and sold under an importer's badge, so the platform underneath is usually familiar. We price on what actually matters: the battery type and age, the motor and controller, seats, tyres, bodywork and whether the charger and keys are there — not the sticker on the front.
The process is the same wherever you are: photos and a few details from your phone, a written offer within 24 hours, then accept, sign and book a collection slot online. We arrive with our own transport and pay by EFT before we drive away. No viewings, no time-wasters, no transport to arrange.
- Extras — rear flip seat, lights, lift kit, sound system, enclosure. Tidy factory-style extras add real value.
- Charger, keys and manual — a working charger and both keys make the cart easier to resell, and our offer stronger.
- Tyres, brakes and steering — we look at tread, brake feel and play in the steering.
- Battery type and age — the single biggest factor. A dated invoice or a photo of the date stamp helps.
Brands we buy most
For reference, these are the brands we see most often: Club Car, E-Z-GO, Yamaha, Excar, ICON, Evolution, Star EV, HDK, LVTong, Marshell, Cushman. Each has its own page explaining what moves its price. If yours isn't among them, choose "Other brand" in the form and type the make — we'll take it from there.
Questions sellers ask
I don't know the make or model. Can I still get an offer?
Yes. Look for a serial plate under the seat, on the dash or on the frame near the pedals and photograph it — that's usually enough for us to identify the cart. If there isn't one, six clear photos will do.
Do you buy rebadged or imported carts?
Yes. Many carts sold in South Africa are built by large OEMs and badged by the importer. We price them on the hardware and the battery, and on whether parts are still available.
Do you buy golf carts that aren't running?
We do. Non-runners are a big part of what we buy around South Africa, because we refurbish and resell carts ourselves. A cart with a tired lead-acid pack is still worth real money to us — the offer just allows for the new pack.
Is the offer really free, and do I have to accept it?
Yes and no. The offer is free and there's no obligation at all — it's a firm number, valid for seven days, and you can accept, counter or walk away. We'd rather you took our number to compare than felt pressured.
What do I need on the day of collection?
Your ID, the charger and keys, and the cart where we can load it. We check that it matches your photos, sign off the sale agreement you already signed on your phone, and pay by EFT before we drive away. If the cart lives behind a gate, let security know we're coming or send us a visitor code with your booking.
