How selling in Summerstrand works
Summerstrand is on our regular Gqeberha route. There's nothing to arrange on your side beyond choosing a collection slot — we bring the transport, the paperwork is already signed on your phone, and payment happens before we leave.
Here's how it works: you send photos and answer a short form; we reply with a firm written offer within 24 hours; if you're happy, you accept and sign on your phone and pick a two-hour collection window. On the day we check the cart matches the photos, load it, and pay by EFT before we drive away.
Summerstrand is on our home patch: our George office runs the Garden Route and Klein Karoo daily, and most collections here are done within a couple of working days of the offer being accepted.
What we pay in Summerstrand
Most private carts we buy in Summerstrand fall between R40 000 – R180 000, with lithium four- and six-seaters at the top. These are typical private-sale bands (updated 2026-09-01); the offer we send is the exact figure we'll pay.
In a city the size of Summerstrand the logistics are the easy part: we're in the area often, we drive our own transport and we don't need you to move the cart anywhere. Pick a two-hour window in the booking step and we'll be there.
Salt air is the big one on the coast. Lead-acid battery terminals corrode, steel frames and trays rust, and cables go green — none of which stops us buying, but it does change what we pay. A Summerstrand cart that has been rinsed and kept under cover is worth noticeably more than one left on the driveway, so a couple of photos of the battery tray and the underside help us give you our best number.
- Mainstream lead-acid (2013–2019): R40 000 – R75 000 (e.g. Club Car Precedent, E-Z-GO RXV, Yamaha Drive)
- Premium lithium 4-seater (2019+): R85 000 – R150 000 (e.g. Club Car Onward / Tempo, E-Z-GO RXV ELiTE, Yamaha Drive2)
- 6-seater / lifted / street kit: R90 000 – R180 000 (e.g. Any brand, 4+2 rear seat, lift kit, lights) — highest demand on estates
What we look at in your photos
Six phone photos are enough — front, back, both sides, the seats and the battery pack. From those we can see almost everything that sets the price:
- Tyres, brakes and steering — we look at tread, brake feel and play in the steering.
- Body, seats and canopy — cracks, sun damage and torn seats all cost money to put right.
- Battery type and age — the single biggest factor. A dated invoice or a photo of the date stamp helps.
- Charger, keys and manual — a working charger and both keys make the cart easier to resell, and our offer stronger.

Questions sellers ask
Do I need to arrange access for you at Summerstrand?
No — we come to your home. If the cart is in a complex or behind a gate, a visitor code or a note at the gate is all we need.
How soon can you collect in Summerstrand?
Usually 1–3 working days of accepting. Summerstrand is on our home patch: our George office runs the Garden Route and Klein Karoo daily, and most collections here are done within a couple of working days of the offer being accepted.
Do you buy golf carts that aren't running?
Yes. Dead batteries, a faulty charger, a controller fault, a cart that has stood for two years — we buy all of them. The offer simply reflects the repair cost. Tell us what's wrong in the form and photograph the battery pack; that's usually all we need.
Is the offer really free, and do I have to accept it?
Yes and no. The offer is free and there's no obligation at all — it's a firm number, valid for seven days, and you can accept, counter or walk away. We'd rather you took our number to compare than felt pressured.
What do I need on the day of collection?
Your ID, the charger and keys, and the cart where we can load it. We check that it matches your photos, sign off the sale agreement you already signed on your phone, and pay by EFT before we drive away. If the cart lives behind a gate, let security know we're coming or send us a visitor code with your booking.
