How selling at ATKV Hartenbos works
If your cart lives at ATKV Hartenbos, tell us whether it's a private cart or an ex-resort unit — they're priced differently. Either way we collect from the resort with our own transport and pay by EFT before we drive away.
Selling a cart at ATKV Hartenbos to WeBuyCarts takes three steps. Answer a few questions and upload five or six phone photos (about three minutes). A real buyer values it and sends a written offer within 24 hours, valid for seven days. Accept online, sign on your phone, choose a collection slot — we load it and pay by EFT before we drive away.
ATKV Hartenbos is on our home patch: our George office runs the Garden Route and Klein Karoo daily, and most collections here are done within a couple of working days of the offer being accepted.
What ATKV Hartenbos carts are worth
Most private carts we buy at ATKV Hartenbos fall between R30 000 – R180 000, with lithium four- and six-seaters at the top. These are typical private-sale bands (updated 2026-09-01); the offer we send is the exact figure we'll pay.
Salt air is the big one on the coast. Lead-acid battery terminals corrode, steel frames and trays rust, and cables go green — none of which stops us buying, but it does change what we pay. A ATKV Hartenbos cart that has been rinsed and kept under cover is worth noticeably more than one left on the driveway, so a couple of photos of the battery tray and the underside help us give you our best number.
Plenty of ATKV Hartenbos carts belong to owners who live elsewhere. That's no problem: the whole process — photos, offer, signing, payment — happens on your phone, and we arrange the collection with whoever holds the keys. Just tell us in the form who to phone on the day.
- Mainstream lead-acid (2013–2019): R40 000 – R75 000 (e.g. Club Car Precedent, E-Z-GO RXV, Yamaha Drive)
- 6-seater / lifted / street kit: R90 000 – R180 000 (e.g. Any brand, 4+2 rear seat, lift kit, lights) — highest demand on estates
- Utility / fleet carts: R30 000 – R80 000 (e.g. Club Car Carryall, Cushman Hauler) — priced on hours
What we look at in your photos
Six phone photos are enough — front, back, both sides, the seats and the battery pack. From those we can see almost everything that sets the price:
- Tyres, brakes and steering — we look at tread, brake feel and play in the steering.
- Charger, keys and manual — a working charger and both keys make the cart easier to resell, and our offer stronger.
- Body, seats and canopy — cracks, sun damage and torn seats all cost money to put right.
- Battery type and age — the single biggest factor. A dated invoice or a photo of the date stamp helps.

Questions sellers ask
Do I need to arrange access for you at ATKV Hartenbos?
Just let the gate or the office know WeBuyCarts is collecting on the day, or send us a visitor code with your booking. Our drivers are used to golf estate procedures.
How soon can you collect at ATKV Hartenbos?
Usually 1–3 working days of accepting. ATKV Hartenbos is on our home patch: our George office runs the Garden Route and Klein Karoo daily, and most collections here are done within a couple of working days of the offer being accepted.
Do you buy golf carts that aren't running?
We do. Non-runners are a big part of what we buy around ATKV Hartenbos, because we refurbish and resell carts ourselves. A cart with a tired lead-acid pack is still worth real money to us — the offer just allows for the new pack.
Is the offer really free, and do I have to accept it?
Yes and no. The offer is free and there's no obligation at all — it's a firm number, valid for seven days, and you can accept, counter or walk away. We'd rather you took our number to compare than felt pressured.
What do I need on the day of collection?
Your ID, the charger and keys, and the cart where we can load it. We check that it matches your photos, sign off the sale agreement you already signed on your phone, and pay by EFT before we drive away. If the cart lives behind a gate, let security know we're coming or send us a visitor code with your booking.
