Cashan: what to expect
Cashan is on our regular Rustenburg route. There's nothing to arrange on your side beyond choosing a collection slot — we bring the transport, the paperwork is already signed on your phone, and payment happens before we leave.
Here's how it works: you send photos and answer a short form; we reply with a firm written offer within 24 hours; if you're happy, you accept and sign on your phone and pick a two-hour collection window. On the day we check the cart matches the photos, load it, and pay by EFT before we drive away.
We run Gauteng, the Hartbeespoort side of the North West and the Bela-Bela side of Limpopo every week, so most Cashan collections happen within seven days of you accepting.
What we pay in Cashan
Most private carts we buy in Cashan fall between R40 000 – R180 000, with lithium four- and six-seaters at the top. These are typical private-sale bands (updated 2026-09-01); the offer we send is the exact figure we'll pay.
Cashan's heat is kinder to bodywork than the coast is, but it is hard on batteries: a lead-acid pack that lives in a hot garage ages faster, and dust gets into bearings and controllers. Tell us the battery age honestly and send a photo of the pack — it is the single biggest factor in the price here.
On the golf estates around Cashan, a cart is transport, not a toy — the school run, the clubhouse, the beach gate. That keeps demand high, and it means we can usually resell a good Cashan cart within the same golf estate, which is why our offers here are strong. Golf estate rules on speed, lights and roadworthiness matter too: a cart that already meets them is worth more.
- Mainstream lead-acid (2013–2019): R40 000 – R75 000 (e.g. Club Car Precedent, E-Z-GO RXV, Yamaha Drive)
- Premium lithium 4-seater (2019+): R85 000 – R150 000 (e.g. Club Car Onward / Tempo, E-Z-GO RXV ELiTE, Yamaha Drive2)
- 6-seater / lifted / street kit: R90 000 – R180 000 (e.g. Any brand, 4+2 rear seat, lift kit, lights) — highest demand on estates
What we look at in your photos
Six phone photos are enough — front, back, both sides, the seats and the battery pack. From those we can see almost everything that sets the price:
- Tyres, brakes and steering — we look at tread, brake feel and play in the steering.
- Extras — rear flip seat, lights, lift kit, sound system, enclosure. Tidy factory-style extras add real value.
- Charger, keys and manual — a working charger and both keys make the cart easier to resell, and our offer stronger.
- Body, seats and canopy — cracks, sun damage and torn seats all cost money to put right.

Questions sellers ask
Do I need to arrange access for you at Cashan?
No — we come to your home. If the cart is in a complex or behind a gate, a visitor code or a note at the gate is all we need.
How soon can you collect in Cashan?
Usually within 7 days of accepting. We run Gauteng, the Hartbeespoort side of the North West and the Bela-Bela side of Limpopo every week, so most Cashan collections happen within seven days of you accepting.
Do you buy golf carts that aren't running?
We do. Non-runners are a big part of what we buy around Cashan, because we refurbish and resell carts ourselves. A cart with a tired lead-acid pack is still worth real money to us — the offer just allows for the new pack.
Is the offer really free, and do I have to accept it?
Yes and no. The offer is free and there's no obligation at all — it's a firm number, valid for seven days, and you can accept, counter or walk away. We'd rather you took our number to compare than felt pressured.
What do I need on the day of collection?
Your ID, the charger and keys, and the cart where we can load it. We check that it matches your photos, sign off the sale agreement you already signed on your phone, and pay by EFT before we drive away. If the cart lives behind a gate, let security know we're coming or send us a visitor code with your booking.
