Evolution owners in Southbroom: what your cart is worth
Lithium-standard value brand with modern touchscreens and LSV kit. Popular in Florida and Texas communities; resale depends heavily on model year and dealer support nearby. Southbroom Golf Club, San Lameer and Ramsgate — some of the lowest-hour holiday carts in the country.
Evolution's factory street-legal kit is exactly what Southbroom's golf estate buyers want, which helps our offers. Model year matters more than mileage: 2022-onward lithium Evolutions hold value far better than the early lead-acid carts.
Plenty of Southbroom carts belong to owners who live elsewhere. That's no problem: the whole process — photos, offer, signing, payment — happens on your phone, and we arrange the collection with whoever holds the keys. Just tell us in the form who to phone on the day.
What we pay for Evolutions in Southbroom
Used Evolutions in KwaZulu-Natal typically sell for R55 000 – R180 000 (private-sale bands, updated 2026-09-01). For Evolution specifically, these are the things that move the number:
- All models ship with lithium — battery age is less of a worry than with lead-acid brands.
- Early-year units (2020–2021) have depreciated hard; 2022+ D5 series holds value better.
- Lithium 2- or 4-seater (2020+): R55 000 – R110 000 (e.g. Excar, HDK, LVTong, ICON, Evolution) — factory lithium holds value
- 6-seater / lifted / street kit: R90 000 – R180 000 (e.g. Any brand, 4+2 rear seat, lift kit, lights) — highest demand on estates

Questions sellers ask
How much is an Evolution golf cart worth in Southbroom?
Typically R55 000 – R180 000 in KwaZulu-Natal, depending on the model, year, battery and condition. All models ship with lithium — battery age is less of a worry than with lead-acid brands. Send photos and we'll price yours exactly, in writing, within 24 hours.
How quickly can you collect an Evolution in Southbroom?
Usually same-day to 1 week of accepting. Southbroom is handled from our Ballito showroom, so collections are quick: same-day or next-day on the North Coast, within a week elsewhere in KwaZulu-Natal.
Do you buy Evolutions that need batteries?
Yes — we refurbish carts, so an Evolution with a tired pack is still worth real money. The offer allows for the new pack; lithium Evolutions fetch a premium.
Do you buy golf carts that aren't running?
We do. Non-runners are a big part of what we buy around Southbroom, because we refurbish and resell carts ourselves. A cart with a tired lead-acid pack is still worth real money to us — the offer just allows for the new pack.
Is the offer really free, and do I have to accept it?
Yes and no. The offer is free and there's no obligation at all — it's a firm number, valid for seven days, and you can accept, counter or walk away. We'd rather you took our number to compare than felt pressured.
What do I need on the day of collection?
Your ID, the charger and keys, and the cart where we can load it. We check that it matches your photos, sign off the sale agreement you already signed on your phone, and pay by EFT before we drive away. If the cart lives behind a gate, let security know we're coming or send us a visitor code with your booking.
