Your Tempo in Stellenbosch: what it's worth here
The fleet cart that replaced the Precedent, so most Tempos come to us after a few seasons at a golf club. Lithium-equipped Tempos are excellent value. De Zalze, Devonvale, Stellenbosch Golf Club and the wine-farm estates: cart ownership is high and so is demand for good used units.
Club Car carts resell fastest of all in Stellenbosch — usually back onto the same golf estate — which is why our Club Car offers here sit near the top of the market.
Stellenbosch's carts split neatly in two: the golf estate four-seaters that go to the clubhouse, and the farm utilities that go up and down the vineyard rows. We have buyers for each, so tell us which yours is and how it has been used.
What a Tempo is worth in Stellenbosch
A clean Club Car Tempo typically sells privately for R40 000 – R150 000 in Western Cape (updated 2026-09-01). The specifics we look at on a Tempo:
- Fleet Tempos have hours on them — condition of the seat, floor mat and body tells us more than the year.
- Lithium Tempos (ERIC charging system) are worth a clear premium over lead-acid.
- A single-owner private Tempo with a rear seat kit is a rare, well-paid find.

Questions sellers ask
How much is a Club Car Tempo worth in Stellenbosch?
Typically R40 000 – R150 000 in Western Cape, depending on year, power (lead-acid or lithium), seats and condition. Fleet Tempos have hours on them — condition of the seat, floor mat and body tells us more than the year. Send photos for an exact written offer within 24 hours.
How quickly can you collect a Tempo in Stellenbosch?
Usually within a week of accepting. Cape Town, the Winelands, the Overberg and the West Coast are covered by our regular Cape run, so most Stellenbosch collections happen within a week of you accepting.
Do you buy golf carts that aren't running?
Yes. Dead batteries, a faulty charger, a controller fault, a cart that has stood for two years — we buy all of them. The offer simply reflects the repair cost. Tell us what's wrong in the form and photograph the battery pack; that's usually all we need.
Is the offer really free, and do I have to accept it?
Yes and no. The offer is free and there's no obligation at all — it's a firm number, valid for seven days, and you can accept, counter or walk away. We'd rather you took our number to compare than felt pressured.
What do I need on the day of collection?
Your ID, the charger and keys, and the cart where we can load it. We check that it matches your photos, sign off the sale agreement you already signed on your phone, and pay by EFT before we drive away. If the cart lives behind a gate, let security know we're coming or send us a visitor code with your booking.
