Selling an HDK in Mtunzini
Large Chinese OEM behind several branded carts. Lithium 4-seaters are common on SA estates. Zini River Estate and the Mtunzini coastal forest — a small golf-estate market on our Zululand run.
Lithium HDKs are the everyday golf estate cart across KwaZulu-Natal. In Mtunzini they're priced almost entirely on the battery — a factory lithium pack can be worth more than the rest of the cart — plus the rear seat, lights and charger. Lead-acid HDKs are priced on the age of the pack.
What we pay for HDKs in Mtunzini
Used HDKs in KwaZulu-Natal typically sell for R20 000 – R180 000 (private-sale bands, updated 2026-09-01). For HDK specifically, these are the things that move the number:
- Support and parts vary by importer — units from active dealers hold value better.
- Older lead-acid 2-seater (2005–2012): R20 000 – R45 000 (e.g. Club Car DS / Precedent, E-Z-GO TXT, Yamaha G22) — battery age decides it
- Lithium 2- or 4-seater (2020+): R55 000 – R110 000 (e.g. Excar, HDK, LVTong, ICON, Evolution) — factory lithium holds value

Questions sellers ask
How much is an HDK golf cart worth in Mtunzini?
Typically R20 000 – R180 000 in KwaZulu-Natal, depending on the model, year, battery and condition. Support and parts vary by importer — units from active dealers hold value better. Send photos and we'll price yours exactly, in writing, within 24 hours.
How quickly can you collect an HDK in Mtunzini?
Usually same-day to 1 week of accepting. We're based in Ballito, which makes Mtunzini an easy run — most collections happen within days of you accepting the offer.
Do you buy HDKs that need batteries?
Yes — we refurbish carts, so an HDK with a tired pack is still worth real money. The offer allows for the new pack; lithium HDKs fetch a premium.
Do you buy golf carts that aren't running?
We do. Non-runners are a big part of what we buy around Mtunzini, because we refurbish and resell carts ourselves. A cart with a tired lead-acid pack is still worth real money to us — the offer just allows for the new pack.
Is the offer really free, and do I have to accept it?
Yes and no. The offer is free and there's no obligation at all — it's a firm number, valid for seven days, and you can accept, counter or walk away. We'd rather you took our number to compare than felt pressured.
What do I need on the day of collection?
Your ID, the charger and keys, and the cart where we can load it. We check that it matches your photos, sign off the sale agreement you already signed on your phone, and pay by EFT before we drive away. If the cart lives behind a gate, let security know we're coming or send us a visitor code with your booking.
