Your Onward in Somerset West: what it's worth here
Club Car's factory-built personal cart: lifted or non-lifted, two to six seats, lead-acid or Samsung SDI lithium. Onwards hold their value better than anything else we buy. Erinvale, Somerset West Golf Club and the Helderberg estates: we buy well-kept fleet and private carts here every month.
Club Car carts resell fastest of all in Somerset West — usually back onto the same golf estate — which is why our Club Car offers here sit near the top of the market.
Wine farms and Winelands golf estates run everything from four-seat runabouts to cargo-bed utility carts. Utility carts are priced on hours and bed condition; the golf estate runabouts on batteries and extras. We buy both, and we collect from farms as happily as from golf estates.
What an Onward is worth in Somerset West
A clean Club Car Onward typically sells privately for R85 000 – R180 000 in Western Cape (updated 2026-09-01). The specifics we look at on an Onward:
- Factory lithium (the Samsung pack) is the single biggest value driver — it can be worth a third more than the same cart on lead-acid.
- The HP (high-performance) motor option and the lifted six-seater body are in the strongest demand.
- Check the touchscreen or LED dash, the lights and the sound bar — Onward extras are expensive to replace.
- Low-hour estate carts from 2020 onward fetch our top offers.

Questions sellers ask
How much is a Club Car Onward worth in Somerset West?
Typically R85 000 – R180 000 in Western Cape, depending on year, power (lead-acid or lithium), seats and condition. Factory lithium (the Samsung pack) is the single biggest value driver — it can be worth a third more than the same cart on lead-acid. Send photos for an exact written offer within 24 hours.
How quickly can you collect an Onward in Somerset West?
Usually within a week of accepting. Cape Town, the Winelands, the Overberg and the West Coast are covered by our regular Cape run, so most Somerset West collections happen within a week of you accepting.
Do you buy golf carts that aren't running?
Yes. Dead batteries, a faulty charger, a controller fault, a cart that has stood for two years — we buy all of them. The offer simply reflects the repair cost. Tell us what's wrong in the form and photograph the battery pack; that's usually all we need.
Is the offer really free, and do I have to accept it?
Yes and no. The offer is free and there's no obligation at all — it's a firm number, valid for seven days, and you can accept, counter or walk away. We'd rather you took our number to compare than felt pressured.
What do I need on the day of collection?
Your ID, the charger and keys, and the cart where we can load it. We check that it matches your photos, sign off the sale agreement you already signed on your phone, and pay by EFT before we drive away. If the cart lives behind a gate, let security know we're coming or send us a visitor code with your booking.
