Your Express S4 in Umhlanga: what it's worth here
The lifted four-seater that made E-Z-GO an estate favourite. Big tyres, a rear flip seat and, on later carts, ELiTE lithium or a 72-volt drive. Umhlanga Rocks, the Ridge and Izinga carts are a short run from our Ballito showroom.
E-Z-GO's steel frames do rust in Umhlanga's sea air — we check the rear rails and the battery tray in your photos and price the clean-up honestly. RXVs and ELiTE lithium carts still fetch strong money here; a TXT with surface rust is still very much worth selling.
Collections across Umhlanga are routine for us — gated complexes, golf estates, storage units, the lot. We book a two-hour window that suits you and phone ahead. If the cart lives somewhere with restricted access, a visitor code or a note at the gate is all we need.
What an Express S4 is worth in Umhlanga
A clean E-Z-GO Express S4 typically sells privately for R90 000 – R180 000 in KwaZulu-Natal (updated 2026-09-01). The specifics we look at on an Express S4:
- ELiTE lithium and the 72-volt electric versions are worth more than the older 48-volt carts.
- Petrol S4s hold value on large estates where range matters.
- Check the lift kit and steering for wear — big tyres load the front end.

Do you buy golf carts that aren't running?
Yes. Dead batteries, a faulty charger, a controller fault, a cart that has stood for two years — we buy all of them. The offer simply reflects the repair cost. Tell us what's wrong in the form and photograph the battery pack; that's usually all we need.
Is the offer really free, and do I have to accept it?
Yes and no. The offer is free and there's no obligation at all — it's a firm number, valid for seven days, and you can accept, counter or walk away. We'd rather you took our number to compare than felt pressured.
What do I need on the day of collection?
Your ID, the charger and keys, and the cart where we can load it. We check that it matches your photos, sign off the sale agreement you already signed on your phone, and pay by EFT before we drive away. If the cart lives behind a gate, let security know we're coming or send us a visitor code with your booking.
