Selling a Marshell in Brits
Chinese-built fleet and estate carts. We buy them on condition and battery health. Between Hartbeespoort and the platinum belt — farm and estate carts on our North West run.
Inland carts usually have clean frames and tired batteries — the opposite of the coast. We price Brits carts mostly on the age and health of the pack, the state of the charger and the tyres; bodywork is rarely the problem.
What we pay for Marshells in Brits
Used Marshells in North West typically sell for R20 000 – R180 000 (private-sale bands, updated 2026-09-01). For Marshell specifically, these are the things that move the number:
- Priced mainly on battery type and age, charger condition and bodywork.
- Older lead-acid 2-seater (2005–2012): R20 000 – R45 000 (e.g. Club Car DS / Precedent, E-Z-GO TXT, Yamaha G22) — battery age decides it
- Lithium 2- or 4-seater (2020+): R55 000 – R110 000 (e.g. Excar, HDK, LVTong, ICON, Evolution) — factory lithium holds value

Questions sellers ask
How much is a Marshell golf cart worth in Brits?
Typically R20 000 – R180 000 in North West, depending on the model, year, battery and condition. Priced mainly on battery type and age, charger condition and bodywork. Send photos and we'll price yours exactly, in writing, within 24 hours.
How quickly can you collect a Marshell in Brits?
Usually within 7 days of accepting. Brits is on our weekly Gauteng run; we confirm a collection date with the offer, usually inside a week.
Do you buy Marshells that need batteries?
Yes — we refurbish carts, so a Marshell with a tired pack is still worth real money. The offer allows for the new pack; lithium Marshells fetch a premium.
Do you buy golf carts that aren't running?
We do. Non-runners are a big part of what we buy around Brits, because we refurbish and resell carts ourselves. A cart with a tired lead-acid pack is still worth real money to us — the offer just allows for the new pack.
Is the offer really free, and do I have to accept it?
Yes and no. The offer is free and there's no obligation at all — it's a firm number, valid for seven days, and you can accept, counter or walk away. We'd rather you took our number to compare than felt pressured.
What do I need on the day of collection?
Your ID, the charger and keys, and the cart where we can load it. We check that it matches your photos, sign off the sale agreement you already signed on your phone, and pay by EFT before we drive away. If the cart lives behind a gate, let security know we're coming or send us a visitor code with your booking.
