Selling a Tempo in Hermanus
The fleet cart that replaced the Precedent, so most Tempos come to us after a few seasons at a golf club. Lithium-equipped Tempos are excellent value. Hermanus Golf Club, Fernkloof, Onrus and the Voëlklip beachfront — retirement and holiday carts collected on our regular Overberg run.
Club Car's aluminium chassis is a genuine advantage in Hermanus: there's no frame rust to price in, so a coastal Club Car usually beats a steel-framed cart of the same age. We still check the battery tray and cables for salt, but the bones are almost always sound.
Retirement-village carts are usually the easiest sale of all: one careful owner, short trips, garaged, serviced. If you're helping a parent sell, we'll deal with you directly, keep the paperwork simple and pay by EFT before we drive away — no cash, no strangers at the door.

Do you buy golf carts that aren't running?
Yes. Dead batteries, a faulty charger, a controller fault, a cart that has stood for two years — we buy all of them. The offer simply reflects the repair cost. Tell us what's wrong in the form and photograph the battery pack; that's usually all we need.
Is the offer really free, and do I have to accept it?
Yes and no. The offer is free and there's no obligation at all — it's a firm number, valid for seven days, and you can accept, counter or walk away. We'd rather you took our number to compare than felt pressured.
What do I need on the day of collection?
Your ID, the charger and keys, and the cart where we can load it. We check that it matches your photos, sign off the sale agreement you already signed on your phone, and pay by EFT before we drive away. If the cart lives behind a gate, let security know we're coming or send us a visitor code with your booking.
