Excar owners in Randburg: what your cart is worth
The most widely imported Chinese-built cart in South Africa. Modern lithium models with good support hold value well; older lead-acid units are valued on battery condition. Randpark Golf Club, Northcliff and the north-western suburbs, collected on our weekly Joburg run.
Collections across Randburg are routine for us — gated complexes, golf estates, storage units, the lot. We book a two-hour window that suits you and phone ahead. If the cart lives somewhere with restricted access, a visitor code or a note at the gate is all we need.
What we pay for Excars in Randburg
Used Excars in Gauteng typically sell for R20 000 – R180 000 (private-sale bands, updated 2026-09-01). For Excar specifically, these are the things that move the number:
- Lithium (LiFePO4) Excars from 2021 onward are in strong demand — we pay a premium for them.
- Older lead-acid units are priced mostly on battery age and charger condition.
- Parts availability is good in SA, which supports resale.
- Older lead-acid 2-seater (2005–2012): R20 000 – R45 000 (e.g. Club Car DS / Precedent, E-Z-GO TXT, Yamaha G22) — battery age decides it
- Lithium 2- or 4-seater (2020+): R55 000 – R110 000 (e.g. Excar, HDK, LVTong, ICON, Evolution) — factory lithium holds value

Questions sellers ask
How much is an Excar golf cart worth in Randburg?
Typically R20 000 – R180 000 in Gauteng, depending on the model, year, battery and condition. Lithium (LiFePO4) Excars from 2021 onward are in strong demand — we pay a premium for them. Send photos and we'll price yours exactly, in writing, within 24 hours.
How quickly can you collect an Excar in Randburg?
Usually within 7 days of accepting. Randburg is on our weekly Gauteng run; we confirm a collection date with the offer, usually inside a week.
Do you buy Excars that need batteries?
Yes — we refurbish carts, so an Excar with a tired pack is still worth real money. The offer allows for the new pack; lithium Excars fetch a premium.
Do you buy golf carts that aren't running?
We do. Non-runners are a big part of what we buy around Randburg, because we refurbish and resell carts ourselves. A cart with a tired lead-acid pack is still worth real money to us — the offer just allows for the new pack.
Is the offer really free, and do I have to accept it?
Yes and no. The offer is free and there's no obligation at all — it's a firm number, valid for seven days, and you can accept, counter or walk away. We'd rather you took our number to compare than felt pressured.
What do I need on the day of collection?
Your ID, the charger and keys, and the cart where we can load it. We check that it matches your photos, sign off the sale agreement you already signed on your phone, and pay by EFT before we drive away. If the cart lives behind a gate, let security know we're coming or send us a visitor code with your booking.
