Cushman carts in Wellington
Textron's utility and people-mover line. Valued on hours, load bed condition and battery. Wellington Golf Club and the Boland wine farms — we buy private and farm carts here.
Wellington's carts split neatly in two: the golf estate four-seaters that go to the clubhouse, and the farm utilities that go up and down the vineyard rows. We have buyers for each, so tell us which yours is and how it has been used.
What we pay for Cushmans in Wellington
Used Cushmans in Western Cape typically sell for R20 000 – R180 000 (private-sale bands, updated 2026-09-01). For Cushman specifically, these are the things that move the number:
- Utility carts are in steady demand from estates, farms and resorts.
- Older lead-acid 2-seater (2005–2012): R20 000 – R45 000 (e.g. Club Car DS / Precedent, E-Z-GO TXT, Yamaha G22) — battery age decides it
- Mainstream lead-acid (2013–2019): R40 000 – R75 000 (e.g. Club Car Precedent, E-Z-GO RXV, Yamaha Drive)

Questions sellers ask
How much is a Cushman golf cart worth in Wellington?
Typically R20 000 – R180 000 in Western Cape, depending on the model, year, battery and condition. Utility carts are in steady demand from estates, farms and resorts. Send photos and we'll price yours exactly, in writing, within 24 hours.
How quickly can you collect a Cushman in Wellington?
Usually within a week of accepting. Wellington sits on our Cape run — we're in the area most weeks, and we confirm a collection date with your offer, usually within seven days.
Do you buy Cushmans that need batteries?
Yes — we refurbish carts, so a Cushman with a tired pack is still worth real money. The offer allows for the new pack; lithium Cushmans fetch a premium.
Do you buy golf carts that aren't running?
We do. Non-runners are a big part of what we buy around Wellington, because we refurbish and resell carts ourselves. A cart with a tired lead-acid pack is still worth real money to us — the offer just allows for the new pack.
Is the offer really free, and do I have to accept it?
Yes and no. The offer is free and there's no obligation at all — it's a firm number, valid for seven days, and you can accept, counter or walk away. We'd rather you took our number to compare than felt pressured.
What do I need on the day of collection?
Your ID, the charger and keys, and the cart where we can load it. We check that it matches your photos, sign off the sale agreement you already signed on your phone, and pay by EFT before we drive away. If the cart lives behind a gate, let security know we're coming or send us a visitor code with your booking.
