Selling an LVTong in Zinkwazi
Chinese fleet and estate carts seen across SA. Valued on battery type/age and body condition. Quiet North Coast beach villages with holiday carts, collected from Ballito.
Near the sea, condition beats age. A five-year-old cart that has lived in a garage in Zinkwazi will out-price a two-year-old one that has stood outside in the salt. We look at the battery tray, the frame rails and the brake cables in your photos, and we're honest about what the sea has done.
What we pay for LVTongs in Zinkwazi
Used LVTongs in KwaZulu-Natal typically sell for R20 000 – R180 000 (private-sale bands, updated 2026-09-01). For LVTong specifically, these are the things that move the number:
- Lithium conversions and factory lithium units are worth substantially more than lead-acid.
- Older lead-acid 2-seater (2005–2012): R20 000 – R45 000 (e.g. Club Car DS / Precedent, E-Z-GO TXT, Yamaha G22) — battery age decides it
- Lithium 2- or 4-seater (2020+): R55 000 – R110 000 (e.g. Excar, HDK, LVTong, ICON, Evolution) — factory lithium holds value

Questions sellers ask
How much is an LVTong golf cart worth in Zinkwazi?
Typically R20 000 – R180 000 in KwaZulu-Natal, depending on the model, year, battery and condition. Lithium conversions and factory lithium units are worth substantially more than lead-acid. Send photos and we'll price yours exactly, in writing, within 24 hours.
How quickly can you collect an LVTong in Zinkwazi?
Usually same-day to 1 week of accepting. Our Ballito showroom covers Durban, the North Coast and the South Coast. Zinkwazi collections are usually booked within a few days of accepting — often same-day or next-day close to Ballito.
Do you buy LVTongs that need batteries?
Yes — we refurbish carts, so an LVTong with a tired pack is still worth real money. The offer allows for the new pack; lithium LVTongs fetch a premium.
Do you buy golf carts that aren't running?
We do. Non-runners are a big part of what we buy around Zinkwazi, because we refurbish and resell carts ourselves. A cart with a tired lead-acid pack is still worth real money to us — the offer just allows for the new pack.
Is the offer really free, and do I have to accept it?
Yes and no. The offer is free and there's no obligation at all — it's a firm number, valid for seven days, and you can accept, counter or walk away. We'd rather you took our number to compare than felt pressured.
What do I need on the day of collection?
Your ID, the charger and keys, and the cart where we can load it. We check that it matches your photos, sign off the sale agreement you already signed on your phone, and pay by EFT before we drive away. If the cart lives behind a gate, let security know we're coming or send us a visitor code with your booking.
